What IS Yoga Therapy?
As a yoga therapist, I meet one-on-one with clients at my office or virtually to help them relieve dis-ease from chronic pain, anxiety, depression, grief, insomnia, stress, injury, and neurological disorders.
Starting with an in-depth, holistic intake process to narrow in on your goals, we work together to tailor an individualized protocol using breathwork, Gentle Somatic Yoga, mindful movement, meditation, postural and breath assessments, pain care education and pain reduction. At the end of most sessions, Shari loves to lead clients in guided meditation through Savasana or Yoga Nidra, allowing full relaxation, release of stress and experiencing deep wellness within. My ultimate goal is to remind you of who you truly are and that you are already whole and complete!
Shari is also an Adaptive Yoga Specialist, teaching weekly chair yoga classess to people with neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s, MS, TBI and Stroke.

WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY?
“According to the IAYTs definition, “Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.” The ancient tradition of yoga comprises a wide range of mind/body practices, from postural and breathing exercises to deep relaxation and meditation. Yoga therapy tailors these to the health needs of the individual. It helps to promote all-round positive health, as well as assisting particular medical conditions. Yoga therapy can be used as a complement to medical treatment of chronic and acute physical and/or mental conditions.” –Inner Peace Yoga Therapy
